Glass Wall Dragon – Large Traditional Wing

Glass wall hanging dragon with the large traditional wing design, handmade at the Glassblobbery. This one is green and blue.Alternative colours are available. Making these dragons is incredible fun! The dragon wings are a real challenge due to the immense strain the glass is under. Making the dragon takes a couple of hours, but the firing and annealing process (de-stressing the glass) can take up-to two months!

This large wing design is especially tricky as it has an extra wing part. The regular traditional wing wall dragon has two main wing segments while this one has three. It can be very tricky to get the thickness right – thick enough to support the larger wing but thin enough not to put too much extra strain on the poor dragons wing joint! It also has a lot more detail than the regular sized one e.g. claws, teeth, tail.
